The Artisan Approach
Good dosas can't be rushed. At Bennebae, our chef begins the day before, soaking and grinding rice and lentils and letting the batter ferment slowly until it's light, tangy and full of character. That patience is what gives our dosas their golden crisp and our idlis their soft, cloud-like bite.

Meet Aman Sen - Founder of BenneBae
Somewhere between the sizzle of a hot tawa and the first sip of filter coffee, Bennebae happens. We're a South Indian kitchen built around simple things done properly: dosas spread thin and crisped to gold, idlis steamed soft as clouds, chutneys ground fresh, and coffee strong enough to start a conversation.
"Benne" means butter in Kannada, and we take that seriously. But Bennebae is more than what's on the plate. It's a place to slow down, meet someone you like, and end the meal with a scoop of ice cream or a slice of cake because you can.
Crisp, buttery, warm and unhurried. That's Bennebae.
